Azerbaijan’s armed forces will join in NATO military exercises in Ukraine, Echo reported on April 19.  According to information released by the Ukrainian defense ministry, the exercises are scheduled for July.  Azerbaijan will participate in Ukrainian-American tactic exercises SeaBreeze-2008, the purpose of which will be to develop joint maneuvers between various sectors of the armed forces.  Besides Ukraine and the United States, 15 other countries are expected to take part in the summer exercises.   Ukraine will engage 500 servicemen, 15 ships, four airplanes, and ten helicopters in the event.  According to Echo, the Azerbaijani foreign ministry neither denied nor confirmed reports about Azerbaijan’s participation in SeaBreeze-2008, saying that more information would be given when it becomes available.
