Immigration “Depot” to be Created in Moscow

The government of Moscow will create a specialized structure, which will help newly arriving immigrants to the Russian capital find jobs and accommodations, as well as assist them in completing all the relevant immigration paperwork and medical examinations. This was announced by Valeriy Vinogradov, the Deputy Mayor of Moscow during a special meeting on immigration issues, convened at the Mayor’s Office on March 22, reported NewsRu. “Our first priority is to create a buffer zone between the migrants offering their skills for hire and those looking to hire them,” stated Vinogradov, according to the news source. It is expected that initially this new structure would be created as a government agency, and in the future, there would be the option of establishing private agencies to deal with immigration issues, NewsRu cited the Deputy Mayor as saying.
