Over a Quarter of Russia and Belarus United State Budget Allocated For Military-Technical Cooperation

One billion forty six million Russian rubles, or 27 percent of the entire Union State budget, will be spent on cooperation in military technologies between Russia and Belarus, Yuri Dubinsky, the Union State deputy secretary, told journalists, as reported by Belta. The deputy secretary detailed that the production of microwave frequency products, electronics, and new types of optical and nanotechnology equipment are the priorities of the joint efforts.  Dubinsky also mentioned programs related to the closing of railroads for the delivery of resources in emergency situations and the improvement of military infrastructure in Russia and Belarus. According to the news source, he added that Russia and Belarus are to a large extent economically integrated and that “the military-industrial complex does not lag behind” integration in other sectors.
