Baku intends to strengthen its military ties with neighboring Georgia, Defense Minister of Azerbaijan Safar Abiyev announced at a press conference on September 17, reported News Azerbaijan. “Azerbaijan and Georgia enjoy close economic and political ties. We would like for our military relations to take on the same direction and [we] have decided to develop and deepen those in every possible way,” the news source quoted Abiyev as saying.
