On September 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the new composition of the Russian Government, reported Zvezda. According to the new rearrangements, three ministry heads have been replaced: the minister of economic development and trade, the health and social development minister, and the minister of regional development.
Aleksey Kudrin maintained his finance minister’s portfolio and was also promoted to the post of a vice prime minister. All other ministers, including Defense Minister Anatoliy Serdyukov, who had filed for resignation, maintained their positions, informed Zvezda.
The Russian government was dismissed by Putin in mid-September, when Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov was sacked and replaced by Viktor Zubkov.
