Nearly 23,000 Byelorussian tourists visited the Bulgarian Black Sea resorts during summer 2006, reported Sofia Echo, citing the Ambassador of Belarus to Bulgaria Vyacheslav Kachanov. “Since Belarus has neither mountains nor major water surfaces, interest in Bulgaria as a tourism destination is especially significant,” said the Ambassador.
The number of air companies offering flights between Belarus and Bulgaria for the 2007 summer season has increased by 20 percent, reported the news source.
