Panarmenian news agency reported on April 2 that Azerbaijan will never allow third states to use its territory in military operations against neighbor countries, quoting a statement issued by the Azeri ministry of defense. Being a member of the international coalition, Baku has offered its air space in support for anti-terror operations, said the minister, however, Azerbaijan will not offer to use its territory for activities against its neighbors.
The statement was issued in response to an announcement made by the U.S. secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs, Matthew J. Bryza, in Tbilisi, during which he said that the United States would like to use Azeri airfields in the case of a military necessity, said
Panarmenian.
