Two Charged with Terrorism in Moscow

The General Prosecutor’s Office of Russia has indicted two law students for committing an act of terrorism on the country’s territory in 2006, reported Lenta, citing information provided by the press office of the judicial agency. According to the statement of the Prosecutor’s Office, Dmitriy Fedoseenkov and Nikolai Kachalov are charged with terrorism, illegal purchase, transfer and storage of explosives, as well as illegal manufacturing of firearms and explosive devices. Fedoseenkov and Kachalov are suspected in organizing the explosions at the Cherkiz market, which injured dozens of people, as well as at the casino ”Imperiya Uspekhov” and at the shopping mall on Dezhnev Street in Moscow, among other attacks. According to existing information, reported Lenta, the two suspects belonged to a criminal gang specializing in destruction of property and intimidation of Russian residents originally from the Caucasus.
