KAZAKHSTAN: Spacecraft Launch Preparations Underway at Baykonur

Preparations are underway for the 7 April launch of the Soyuz TMA-10 spacecraft, which will deliver two Russian astronauts and an American space-tourist, Charles Simonyi, to the International Space Station, reported Gazeta Kazakhstan citing the information provided by the press office of the Federal Space Center (FSC) at Baykonur, Kazakhstan.
According to the report of the FSC press office, the autonomous and complex trials of the Soyuz TMA-10 spacecraft were completed successfully. On 14 March, the aircraft was loaded into a vacuum-camera, and specialists were conducting pneumo-vacuum tests on the hermetic condition of the spacecraft. The final stage of the trials, which will include several simulations involving the crew, is set to begin on 27 March.
