Plan Approved to Beef Up Security on Ukrainian-Moldovan Frontier

Ukraine’s State Border Control Service (GPS) has approved a plan to build a series of road blocks and set up a monitoring system along the Transdniestrian section of the Ukrainian-Moldovan frontier in an effort to boost border security and combat smuggling, regnum.ru reported, citing GPS First Deputy Chair Pavel Shisholin. “The plan provides for construction teams who will build a series of barriers along byways and secondary routes, and implement a border observation system,” he said.
